History
Our commitment to professional results and timely delivery is unparalleled.
Established in 1992, Top edge was founded by Jeff Tabachnick on Long Island, NY and has since brought together a team of professionals whose combined experience is behind our proven success.
Most recently Jeff and his family have moved to the Cary, NC area. With 29 successful years of window tinting to pull from he is excited to be offering his services in the Cary area.

When it comes time to work on your vehicle you can relax knowing that any area of the car we are in contact with is covered with towels. When completed we wipe away any water drips and clean all the windows.
Should you choose to wait while we work on your car, we have a quiet & comfortable work station with WIFI, USB charging, TV, water, coffee and tea selections. For those who want to drop it off, we’ll call or text you when it’s finished.
Jeff Tabachnick
Owner & Tinter
Jeff started Top Edge in 1992. Having already been offering detailing services to car dealerships, many expressed the need and opportunity for window tinting. He shortly after made the switch to tinting. As the business grew and they had a few installers on board they opened a storefront location to accommodate individual customers directly. After 28 successful years, Jeff and his family decided it was time for a change. The Smithtown store was taken over by Billy, a long-time employee, who continues to do a great job. Settling in Cary, NC. Jeff initially opened a shop in Apex and one year later moved to an improved shop and location in Cary.
Jonathon
Tinter
Heavy equipment mechanic goes rogue to pursue a career window tinting. Jonathon may be quiet but he will talk your ears off about cars. He has a special love for Mazda Miata, he can tell you every bolt size.

Top Edge in North Carolina is committed to a vision of being an exclusive, by appointment only, low volume high quality shop. Jeff is the owner and does all the installing. Most recently Jonathon was brought on as an apprentice.
